Staff Accountant - Leading Wealth Management Firm

One of the largest and fastest growing wealth management firms in the US is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing Corporate Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will the general ledger, AP, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. This is an excellent role for an Associate looking to transition out of public accounting or a corporate accountant with 2+ years of experience who excels in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities 

• Handle accounting for multiple entities (journal entries, reconciliations, banking)
• Perform monthly bank, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage credit card processing and reconciliations
• Support financial and 401(k) audits for compliance
• Drive process improvements and tackle complex challenges
• Train colleagues and enhance team efficiency
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of relevant public accounting or corporate accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; NetSuite experience a plus
