Our client is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their esteemed team at their New Jersey Office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of law firm litigation paralegal experience and will play a vital role in supporting their Litigation Department's caseloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assistance to lawyers in all aspects of the Litigation Department's caseloads.
- Organize and maintain court materials to ensure efficient access and retrieval of essential documents.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Independently prepare correspondence, memoranda, discovery, and various communications, exhibiting proficiency and accuracy.
- Efficiently manage docket, matter dates, and deadlines to ensure timely execution of legal tasks.
- Assist with deposition digesting and preparation, ensuring that all relevant information is properly documented and organized.
- Coordinate deposition, hearing, motion, and trial preparation to facilitate seamless legal proceedings.
- Collaborate in the paper and electronic discovery process, identifying potentially relevant electronically stored information (ESI) and issuing legal hold notices.
- Work closely with clients to identify, preserve, and collect pertinent sources of ESI and paper discovery.
- Facilitate the processing, reviewing, and coding of ESI to support the discovery phase effectively.
- Exhibit knowledge and proficiency in electronically filing (CM/ECF) pleadings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of law firm litigation paralegal experience is required for this role.
- Highly organized with exceptional prioritization abilities, ensuring efficient handling of multiple tasks.
- A strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues and attorneys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for clear and concise interactions within the legal team.
- A college degree and/or paralegal certificate are essential qualifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Relativity, and Concordance is required.
- Knowledge of IManage will be considered a plus.
