CareerNation is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a 2-week occupational health screening event in Buffalo NY by performing medical histories and physical exams. The NP will assess participants for workplace health clearance and collaborate with onsite staff to ensure a smooth and efficient screening process.
This is a short-term, high-volume assignment well-suited for an NP with strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently within a team setting.
DATES: 2-week long event in August or September, exact dates pending!
TYPICAL SHIFT TIMES: 9a - 5pm (to be confirmed)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct standardized histories and physicals (H&Ps) for participants
Accurately document findings using provided forms or electronic systems
Flag health concerns that require follow-up per clinical protocols
Coordinate with Medical Assistants, administrative staff, and other providers
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and clinical integrity throughout the event
Requirements:
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State
Malpractice insurance coverage (required)
Prior experience in occupational health, urgent care, or primary care
Ability to commit to the full event schedule, including potential evenings or weekends
Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience conducting occupational or pre-employment health screenings
Ability to practice autonomously or with a collaborative agreement, per New York scope of practice
Familiarity with workplace health standards and clearance protocols
Comfortable in fast-paced, event-style healthcare delivery environments.
