Deputy Director of Enterprise and Cybersecurity

We have an incredible new opportunity for an experienced technology professional to join our Technology team. The Deputy Director of Enterprise Technology and Cybersecurity Services will be responsible for supporting the Director of Technology and Cybersecurity with technology service vendors and internal teams to manage, implement and operate solutions to our existing technology environment. In collaboration with our vendors, secure and support the on-site and cloud-based technology environment.

 

Additionally, the Deputy Director will work with the Director of Technology and Cybersecurity to assist in development of technology/cybersecurity and resource requirements, track solutions delivery, create and maintain accurate high-level technology solutions reporting, and complete user acceptance / unit testing. Collaborating with our technology service providers, the Deputy Director will also assist with advanced user support as well as technology platform support on a variety of issues to support local and remote users and business functions when necessary. The geographic areas of responsibilities are New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

 

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, technically minded and a forward-thinking Cybersecurity Technologist. A person who enjoys solving complex technology and cloud-based solutions issues and has good interpersonal communications skills to interact with multiple external vendors, internal organization leaders and a national user community.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Director of Technology and Cybersecurity, the Deputy Director of Enterprise Technology and Cybersecurity Services plays an essential role helping our team to work smarter and not harder by infusing technology into our processes.
  • Supports Director of Technology and Cybersecurity in creation of policies.
  • Helps develop and implement business and/or IT vision, critical success factors and
  • operating plans
  • Communicates department and organizational IT related vision, strategies, and critical
  • success factors
  • Creates, implements, and monitors, processes and procedures in alignment with policies.
  • Works with the Director to analyze and track organization wide technology and
  • cybersecurity needs and solutions delivery using 3rd party and inhouse management
  • resources.
  • Works under direction of the Director of Technology and Cybersecurity to provide needs
  • assessment and subsequent design, development, delivery, and maintenance of
  • technology and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Works with the Director to oversee the development, implementation and execution of
  • multiple projects ensuring scope and schedule are established for projects.
  • Responsible for working with our Managed Service Provider(s) to provide desktop support
  • to end users (locally and remote when necessary) in investigating / resolving complex
  • applications, operating systems, and any other technology related errors in a timely
  • manner.
  • Monitors and reports on numerous service providers and coordinates the enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain all video conferencing equipment and the quality of the audio / visual experience. Works to repair video conferencing tools, mobile phone activations of client issued devices and hardware complications.
  • Assists our technology vendors when necessary with provisioning and deprovisioning processing, including setting up of hardware / software for new hires, and receiving hardware from separating employees.
  • Supports in-depth analysis of possible technology solutions, as directed by senior management, and provides updates to the Technology and Cybersecurity Director and Legal Technology Committee or Taskforce, if applicable.
  • Responsible for asset management of technology.
  • Identify and respond to all security breaches.
  • Ensure organizational security by enabling the appropriate security measures, inclusive of
  • websites.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Respectfully, explain/discuss technical concepts in layperson’s terms to staff.
  • Teach technical skills to end-users with different learning styles.
  • Maintain a customer centric approach when supporting

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent technology field.
  • Ten or more years of IT work experience. Preferably 5+ years of IT Program and
  • Solutions Implementation Management experience preferably supporting an Enterprise IT
  • Program.
  • Agile/ GIT/Scrum a plus
  • ITIL certification, LEAN certification, project management skills or prior use of ITSM
  • software tools to process customer requests is a plus, but not required.
  • Optional product or system certification.

     

    Enterprise Technology and Cybersecurity Manager Qualifications/Skills:

  • Technology Risk and Incident Response program knowledge critical
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent content creation and writing skills.
  • Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and digital security risks across a geographically distributed
  • organization.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Highly organized with excellent time and project management skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive problem solver, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships remotely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a diverse and geographically distributed organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in a problem-solving
  • environment.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in laypeople’s terms.
  • Ability to teach Tech skills to basic and intermediate users.

     TRAVEL

    This position requires some regional travel; travel percentage of 10%.

    SALARY

    Salary is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. and is commensurate with experience within the guidelines of a midsize not-for-profit.
