Territory manager selling engineered fall protection and safety equipment into commercial construction, manufacturing, utilities, etc.
Hybrid: 2-3 days/month at office in Vancouver, WA. Remainder is home-based
Comes with a significant amount of existing business
KEY THINGS
- Live in an area reasonably central to the territory; most work in near the coast.
- Experience selling B2B manufactured things, ideally into commerical construction or manufacturing
- Used to “hunting” for business; more sales oriented than account management
- Travel: probably 60% - 70% travel
Position:
- B2B outside sales - "Hunter" with technical/consultative approach
- Own monthly sales targets
- Work with company-provided qualified leads and find own leads; pursue both
- Work with company methodology and system - extensive training provided
- Perform site surveys to address ANSI (and OSHA) compliance issues
- Prepare detailed quotations for site-specific engineered products to address issues
- Work with company engineering, inside sales and logistics to deliver a seamless experience
- Resolve issues such as shipping/logistics, credit, engineering, etc, that get in the way
- Leverage construction tracking tools and market analysis to generate new business.
- Track all relevant activities in CRM (training provided)
Requirements:
- Experience working with and hitting or exceeding goals
- 4+ years of experience selling; significant amount B2B
- Skilled with consultative selling - so find value, not just price.
- Excellent communication skills - on sites, with customers, in presentations, etc

- Enjoys being independent: digging into numbers, writing quotes, presenting to customers

- Ability to take measurements, prepare to scale hand sketches for estimating
Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without any visa requirements now or in the future.
Base salary is $75k - $80k; uncapped commission, benefits, etc
