ICP Field Service Technician

 Home-based, NJ, MA, PA

ICP field Technician (engineer) for a major manufacturer of ICP (OES) instrumentation will work with customers in training, troubleshooting, optimizing of their analytical instrumentation and associated software systems. Extensive work on-sites, some video (i.e. Zoom).

Some position info:

• Use your in-depth knowledge of the application ICP-OES analytical methods in a plant and laboratory setting for existing and new customers.
• Significant work with in-company applications and sales personnel.
• Set-up and troubleshooting of a customer’s ICP systems - hardware and software
• Able to do in-depth service of the equipment
• Train the personnel on-sites.
• Travel to sites!

 Position is salary of $70k plus overtime. And there is significant overtime!

 Required and Ideal:

• Degree (Associates or BS) is good. Most important: do the work well!

 MUST:

• Several years of applicable experience in ICP-OES
• Have the personality to teach people and also work on instrumentation.
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude – working with complex and quite delicate components.
• Able to work on-sites, able to improvise if needed
• Able to travel, primarily in the U.S. by plane, train or automobile. Or skateboard.

· Understanding of chemistry is a good thing

· Must be a U.S. citizen or resident

 Home base, near a large airport – like PHL, LGA, EWR, BOS….
