Executive Search Research Assistant

This is accomplished through our suite of Organizational Development Services including, but not limited to, Leadership Development Programming & Design, Executive Search, and Executive Coaching.
This internship can be performed fully remote or through a blend of remote work and time spent with our team in our offices on W. Tupper in the city of Buffalo, NY.
We are looking for a student to work with our Executive Search Team as a Sourcing Specialist and Research Assistant to help us conduct market research in support of identifying qualified candidates for current and future executive searches and improve our candidate database. Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to participate in client meetings and strategizing sessions with the search team in order to learn and engage in the executive search process and development insight into talent identification, evaluation, and selection.
Responsibilities include conducting research to identify viable outlets for advertising leadership opportunities and identifying organizations, platforms, resume databases, and any other tools that will support Catapult’s efforts in reaching potentially qualified candidates. This will include searching social networks and other relevant sites and presenting findings to search team for further evaluation. As research is conducted and executed, this individual will need to have the ability to organize a database of candidates for current and future searches and track and report progress, in order to help the search team identify effective sourcing strategies and compile sourcing data to share with clients.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in research, project management, and database management with a combined knowledge of social media platform capabilities. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be expected to reach out to and communicate with senior level professionals. You should also have the ability to take direction and offer insights into improving processes and recommending innovative and creative solutions.
Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to work with the Catapult Executive Search team to build a strong pipeline of candidates for our client’s current and future talent needs and learn about effective executive recruitment strategies.

Term and Compensation
The term for this internship is June 1, 2022 through August 12,2022 with continued opportunity beyond this term depending on Catapult need and intern availability and interest. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in internal and client meetings related to search as their schedule permits and will be expected to work 15-20 hours a week. 5-10 of those hours will need to be scheduled during the workday (M-F 9am-5pm) and the remaining hours for research and candidate outreach can be conducted at anytime. Ability to flex hours on a weekly basis when client/internal meetings are scheduled is highly preferred. This opportunity can be conducted remote/hybrid depending on the candidates location and preference. Meetings with the Catapult team can be conducted in person or via Zoom.
Compensation is $18 per hour for 15-20 hours per week.
The weekly schedule will be: 5-10 hours during M-F, 9am-5pm and 5-10 hours flexible for research and sourcing.
