Stripe Implementation Specialist - Remote

We’re seeking a highly skilled Stripe Implementation Specialist to lead the configuration and integration of our Stripe Business Account. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in Stripe’s advanced financial and tax features, and a strong understanding of compliance, revenue operations, and international expansion.
You’ll work cross-functionally with finance, tax, legal, and IT teams to ensure Stripe is fully optimized for our business needs, including multi-jurisdictional tax handling, deferred revenue, and audit readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Stripe Business Account features including:
    • Product Tax Code Configuration
    • Multi-Jurisdiction Tax Calculation
    • Gross-to-Net Tax Visibility
    • Jurisdiction-Level Tax Detail
    • Tax Filing Integration with Avalara
    • Deferred Revenue Scheduling
    • Refund & Chargeback Accounting
    • Revenue Channel Segmentation
    • Audit Trail & Access Logs
    • Data Retention & PII Handling
    • Security Incident Notification
    • Nexus Tracking & Entitlement
    • Tax Exemption Handling
    • Payout Frequency and Threshold Configuration
    • State & Local Registration Support
    • Product SKU Configuration
    • International Tax Expansion
    • International Merchant of Record Option
    • Multi-Entity Revenue Mapping
    • Filing Automation Option
  • Integrate Stripe with ERP, CRM, and financial systems.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and data privacy standards.
  • Provide documentation and training for internal teams.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.


Must Have Requirements:

  • Proven experience implementing and managing Stripe Business Accounts.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, tax compliance, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with Avalara or similar tax automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.


Preferences:

  • Experience with international tax and merchant of record structures.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
