We are looking for an Email Marketing Ops Contractor for a publishing company in Baltimore, MD. In this role, you will drive the planning, execution, and analysis of all email campaigns. You’ll work on end-to-end email campaigns, including design, personalization, testing, measurement and steps for improvement.

This is a part-time, 30 hours/week, contract role with the possibility to convert to a full-time, permanent position.

Location: Hybrid. The team works a minimum of one day per month in the Baltimore-area office.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with marketing managers to design email campaigns, manage campaign calendar, define performance objectives, develop testing strategies, and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Manage and support all aspects of email campaign execution including customer segmentation, list selection, automations, testing protocol, and technical execution.
  • Maintain and drive timely execution of the email calendar, including nurture, trigger, stage, and retargeting campaigns within the marketing automation platform.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on email campaign performance, including strategies, insights and recommendations for improving results.
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices, including compliance with CAN-SPAM, CASL and GDPR.
  • Contribute to overall marketing and communications planning and email strategy, bringing CRM/database marketing experience.
  • Keep abreast of CRM and campaign standard methodologies, new Salesforce Marketing Cloud features to optimize platform capabilities and campaign performance.
  • Continuously strive to be the subject-matter expert on email marketing best practices.

The Quals You’ll Need:

  • 2-3 years of experience in interactive marketing and/or communication.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and executing email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with email automation, HTML/CSS, and email marketing software platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience managing and growing list size of 500K+ emails.
  • Experience creating email templates quickly and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing campaign effectiveness and results.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of setting up A/B testing for email marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Bonus Points:

  • Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • WordPress experience.
