Our client, a human capital consultancy specializing in niche curriculum design for diversity and inclusion is looking for a Senior Learning Architect to join their growing team. They value creative thinkers and risk-taking ideators who know how to engage learners and drive immersive experiential learning.
As a Senior Learning Architect, you will be responsible for creating and designing our virtual (live and on demand) and in-person educational experiences. You will also ensure bestpractices in instructional design and the use of educational technologies, including face-to-face delivery, actionlearning, course platforms, asynchronous learning, eLearning courses, videos, virtual Instructor-Led training (vILT),and other learning solutions, with a focus on incorporating a variety of media and learning methods to create an effective learning environment.
You will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a high velocity start up environment. You will facilitate design sessions with client stakeholders, SMEs, facilitators, colleagues and senior level leaders across multiple disciplines/functional roles. You will also provide project management oversight of your assigned projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Learning Curriculum Development
Create engaging, immersive learning experiences, leveraging metaphorical alignment to learning outcomes and behaviors
Apply cutting-edge techniques along with industry trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
Design training materials and assessments in adherence to brand standards and established design models for instructor and virtual instructor-led training, multimedia, video, and other learning-related materials including design documents, facilitator’s guides and video scripts
Utilize effective instructional design strategies and adult learning principles to facilitate the design, development and production of multimedia infused online courses and projects based upon project objectives, timelines, and resources
Content Creation & Quality Assurance
Apply strong project management discipline for setting expectations, execution and resolving issues
Collaborate with and manage stakeholders and subject matter experts during the content development process, establishing design project timelines, mitigating risks and ensuring alignment, engagement and expectation management projects based on the time and development options allotted
Put the client first to ensure that the learner is at the center of every design
Communicate and interact effectively and develop credibility and trusted mutually respected relationships with clients, stakeholders, leadership and colleagues
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
5-7 years of previous work experience designing and developing instruction, including supporting portfolio samples
Experience in applying adult learning theories and instructional design models to designs/storyboard development
Adept and efficient at designing learning deliverables in response to a given business problem specific to human capital
Knowledge of instructional systems design methodology, rapid design/development methodologies, adult learning theory, research methodology, and assessment tools
High proficiency in Instructor-Led and/or eLearning development tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint Word and Adobe is required. Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, various video creation applications, such as Articulate Rise and Storyline, Captivate and/or other related software
Disciplined self-starter; resourceful and able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a high velocity environment with shifting objectives
Instructional design certification
Background in Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID)
General knowledge of LMS administration
