Job Description: Chief of Staff

Position Overview: The Chief of Staff will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), providing critical support in executing the company’s vision and goals. This role is pivotal in driving organizational efficiency, enhancing executive decision-making, and ensuring seamless communication across the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry and a proven track record in executive assistant or senior-level support roles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Executive Support:

o Serve as the CEO’s right-hand partner, managing priorities, schedules, and correspondence to ensure the CEO’s time is optimized.

o Anticipate the CEO’s needs and proactively address issues to enhance decision-making and productivity.

2. Strategic Planning and Execution:

o Assist the CEO in developing and executing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

o Monitor progress on key projects and initiatives, providing regular updates to the CEO.

3. Leadership Coordination:

o Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-ups for leadership meetings and retreats.

4. Project Management:

o Lead and manage special projects on behalf of the CEO, ensuring timely and successful completion.

o Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to drive organizational priorities forward.

5. Operational Oversight:

o Serve as a liaison between the CEO and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless information flow and efficient resolution of issues.

o Identify opportunities for operational improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

6. Communication and Representation:

o Draft and review communications on behalf of the CEO, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company values.

o Represent the CEO in meetings, as needed, and act as a proxy in their absence.

7. Industry Expertise:

o Leverage extensive experience in the construction industry to provide insights and recommendations to the CEO.

o Stay informed about industry trends and developments to help the CEO make informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with significant experience in executive-level support or project management roles.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.

• High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

• Advanced proficiency in productivity tools and software.
