PROJECT EXECUTIVE
ROLE
The Project Executive is responsible for a “book of work,” managing multiple Project teams. The Project Executive has the most authority on the Project Team to deal with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Designers, Building Management and Subcontractors. Project Executives are responsible for ensuring Client satisfaction, oversight of all financial matters relating to the Project, and for managing and developing Project personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring the financial health of projects under their control including adherence to budget, ensuring Clients are informed of budget issues, and that Subcontracts, Purchase Orders and Change Orders are properly approved/authorized, and that expenditures, cash flow and payments are all being tracked.
- Responsible for oversight of project schedule, ensures Client and Architect are aware of changes and that necessary approvals have been obtained, conducts regular schedule reviews, including impact on budget.
- Responsible for oversight of final negotiation and buy-out of all required trades, ensures Subcontractor proposals are approved, and makes recommendations to Client/Architect.
- Overall responsibility to ensure a safe, clean and hazard-free job-site, conducts regular site visits to ensure standards of quality are being met, and that good relationships with building management and neighbors are maintained.
- Responsible for oversight of all aspects of Project Administration including ensuring correct set up of new Projects, attending weekly job site meetings, as needed, delegating duties to Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, ensuring proper upkeep of all logs and documentation, and regularly reviewing correspondence related to project.
- Ensures completion by Team of all required project reports, and responsible for reporting to Senior Management on status of all Projects under their control.
- Ensures close-out of project, completion of all open items and transition to Service & Maintenance.
- Responsible for the development of project personnel including performance evaluations and career path.
- Participates in internal management meetings and takes on other initiatives and/or duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 15 years of significant high-end residential construction and management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years supervising and/or developing personnel.
- Business acumen including understanding of the market, industry expertise, and superior financial management skills.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically, and demonstrated ability meet the challenges of a fast-changing environment.
- Must hold a Local License equivalent of HIC (Home Improvement Contractor) salesperson license.
- Engineering, Architecture or Business Management degree preferred
COMPENSATION
Weekly compensation is commensurate with experience and could range from $150k to $200k annually.
