Compensation: $120 000 - $160 000 per year

As the VP of HR, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that strengthen our culture, ensure compliance, and drive organisational performance across multiple facilities and service lines.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.)
- 5+ years of HR leadership experience within the mental health, behavioural health, or healthcare sector
- Proven success leading HR functions across multi-site or multi-disciplinary clinical environments.
- Strong emotional intelligence, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence diverse teams.
- Commitment to the organisation’s mission of improving mental wellness and access to care.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, healthcare compliance, and behavioural health workforce regulations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and psychological safety across all levels of the organisation.
- Advise leadership on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement while maintaining confidentiality and fairness.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations such as HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.
- Oversee investigations, grievances, and corrective actions with a trauma-informed and equitable approach.
Talent Management & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives to attract and retain top behavioural health talent.
- Implement leadership training, mentorship, and career growth programs that support employee engagement and retention.
- Strengthen diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives throughout the organisation.
Performance & Culture
- Oversee performance management systems that encourage accountability, professional growth, and alignment with organisational goals.
- Promote wellness and resilience programs to support staff working in high-demand mental health environments.
- Drive employee engagement through communication, recognition, and collaboration initiatives that reflect our values of empathy, respect, and integrity.
Operational Excellence
- Optimise HR operations and systems to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and compliance teams to align HR policies and practices with clinical and organisational priorities.
- Travel periodically to multiple program locations to provide leadership, training, and support.
