Compensation: $200,000 - $300,000 Annual Salary

Position Description:
We are looking for a dedicated VP of MDS for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Valley Stream, New York. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Qualifications of the VP of MDS:
RN or Licensed Healthcare Professional required; RAC-CT or related MDS certification strongly preferred.
Minimum 7 years of MDS experience, with at least 3 in a regional or corporate leadership role across multiple SNF locations.
Extensive knowledge of CMI methodologies and state-specific Medicaid reimbursement systems.
Proven ability to manage and mentor remote teams across multiple facilities.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to travel as need
Responsibilities of the VP of MDS:
Lead and support MDS Coordinators and Regional Clinical teams across many SNF buildings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and North Carolina state regulations.
Analyze Case Mix Index (CMI) trends, guide clinical teams on capturing accurate data, and implement systems that improve reimbursement and financial performance.
Ensure all facilities maintain compliance with CMS guidelines, state survey readiness, and internal quality standards for MDS assessments.
Conduct remote and onsite training, audits, and performance evaluations to enhance MDS documentation accuracy and improve PDPM/CMI strategies.
Partner with executive leadership, billing, and clinical operations teams to align reimbursement strategy with quality care outcomes and operational goals.
