Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 Annual Salary

Position Description:

We are looking for a dedicated AVP of Payroll for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Lakewood, New Jersey. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Qualifications of the AVP of Payroll:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s or CPP certification a plus).

• 5+ years of Payroll Experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role managing multi-state or multi-entity payroll.

• Strong Knowledge of SNF Industry Regulations including union rules, shift differentials, and healthcare-specific payroll compliance.

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant ( EA ):

• Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for 50+ facilities across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.

• Supervise, train, and support a team of approximately 10 payroll professionals, promoting efficiency and accuracy.

• Evaluate and improve systems (e.g., Paycom, ADP,UKG), ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.

• Work with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment on employee classification, benefits deductions, and timekeeping.

• Monitor tax filings, wage garnishments, and regulatory updates to maintain full payroll compliance across all jurisdictions
