Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. The Clinical Dietary Aide provides support work for the clinical dieticians and performs technical work in the clinical area of the Dietary Department.
JOB DUTIES:
- Receive and communicate diet instructions for patients from the Dietician.
- Effectively communicate directly with the patient if needed
- Provide hands-on supervision for the patient tray line
- Calculate caloric intake, take patient histories
- Correct patient menus if needed, round on patients periodically for patient satisfaction
- Ensure that food health and safety regulations are followed
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Clinical Dietary Aide assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Approved dietary technician program or the ability to acquire within a year of employment; or be a graduate of a food and nutrition program such as Certified Dietary Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required
- Safe food handlers training
- 1-2 years of institutional cooking experience, preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager, preferred or the ability to acquire within one year of employment
