Facilities - Maintenance Specialist FT Days

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. The Maintenance Specialist assures all areas of the hospital, equipment, systems and grounds are safely operational performing at optimum abilities. S/he maintains, repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on all areas of the hospital.

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform daily visual inspections of assigned equipment and facilities
  • Keep appropriate inventory of parts and supplies to expedite equipment and system repairs
  • Assist with daily building maintenance, including repair and preventative maintenance of building, systems and equipment
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and other work as needed in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, boilers, welding painting, etc.
  • Ensures the facility and its grounds are neat, tidy and safe
  • Perform painting, electrical wiring, carpentry, plumbing, etc.
  • Ensure all maintenance areas are organized, clean and free of abnormal hazards
  • Verifies all equipment/systems have completed data sheet with service/operator manuals and properly filed
  • Performs all duties in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy

The Maintenance Specialist assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
  • Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, as well as stand, walk, talk, hear, sit; reach with arms, hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by passing a pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer, required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, boilers, required
  • 3-5 years’ building maintenance experience, required
  • Hospital maintenance experience, preferred
