Our client is seeking a strong Director of Accounting to lead a high-performing team in critical analyses of financial activities as well as manage timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes.

As the Accounting Director, you'll be responsible for a diverse array of contributions. You'll do everything from managing the financial close process, reviewing monthly GL reconciliations, supporting the quarterly tax provision, to supporting the business in various requests. You'll be responsible for maintaining timely, accurate financial records and performing financial analysis.

You will be reporting to the Corporate Controller, and you will partner with the Accounting and Finance teams on accounting treatments and processes relating to the integrity of the monthly financial statements. This company will be excited to hear your recommendations on process improvements and overall operational performance. They are looking for a critical thinker and problem solver.

What you'll do...

  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for all sites.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, P&L reporting for all sites, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare and maintain annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide analysis to identify variances and areas of improvement.
  • Reconcile and review various balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and tax filings.
  • Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations for the company.
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making, assess the financial health of the organization, and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.


  • 6+ years experience working in either Healthcare, Retail, or Real Estate
  • CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Prior experience working for large companies - $100M+
  • Experience leading a team of 3+ people
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Detail-orientated with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in work
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
