VP of Human Resources

The VP of HUMAN RESOURCES must possess an in-depth understanding of HR best practices within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. They must fully understand and respond to the business requirements of the agency. They must be able to react and adapt to (sometimes rapid) change, and must exercise discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement in all aspects of their role. In addition, the ideal candidate will oversee facilities management and office service operations to ensure there is employee engagement and commitment across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

o Manage Talent and People Strategy

o Deliver agency-wide: Career Development plans, Career Pathways, and Learning and Development plans

o Onboarding and cultural engagement to include DE&I initiatives

o Developing a strategic HR function to support the business

o Employee Relations

o Employee engagement and talent development

o Help to support and continually develop culture, managing work/life balance of employees.

Talent Management

o Review and manage freelance and full-time recruitment strategy

o Develop and build a robust Internship program to create a future pipeline of talent

o Drive Talent Strategy to ensure we source, recruit and retain the best talent.

o Work with Heads of Department to manage our talent, identify scope for improvement, areas for development, experience required etc. to develop our key talent to the next level

o Increase retention by continuing to create a supportive and inclusive workplace, develop employee resource groups, and identify employee needs

o Partner with executive leadership to define and manage compensation strategy

Legal Compliance

 o Work with Legal to identify HR issues before they become legal/compliance issues and to implement measures to minimize the agency’s exposure to legal claims.

 o Partner with legal to enable full compliance to national and local labor laws - NY/CA/TN/GA and UK

 o Partner with legal to obtain external legal advice and to implement any required changes

 o Regularly review processes and ensure compliance on issues such as Exempt/Non-Exempt classification, Affordable Care Act and Temporary Employee engagement

 o Mandatory trainings on harassment and other areas

 Required Experience:

 o Minimum of 10+ year experience in senior HR role, leading a dynamic HR team and office facilities management

 o BA/BS degree.

o  Proven track record of managing and leading change in multi-site organizations

o Strong empathy with the Company culture and the ability to influence, inspire & motivate

o Team oriented work ethic

Preferred Experience:

o International HR experience – with knowledge of visa options / requirements

o Key knowledge of multi-state and federal labor regulations and compliance obligations

o A background working in a creative environment, entertainment, or advertising sector
