Outside Software and Services Sales Representative

Our client is seeking an experienced Outside Software and Services Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in outside sales, particularly in the cybersecurity software and services industry. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cold calls and prospecting activities to generate leads and identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by qualifying leads, conducting product demonstrations, and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop sales collateral and promotional materials.
  • Conduct client visits and presentations to showcase products and services and address client needs and concerns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale account management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position offerings in the market.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to management.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and partners.

Additional Duties:

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineers, customer success managers, and technical support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Provide feedback and insights to inform product development, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on product features, updates, and enhancements to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards always.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, with a proven track record of success in selling cybersecurity software and services.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
