Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Windows Server Operating System architecture and the Active Directory domain in a mission-critical enterprise production environment. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the enterprise communication network. Provides network analysis, configuration, and design support all ITS units. Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects. Participates in security investigations and key contributor to security incident response teams.
Leads Technical teams. Collaborates with other senior level technologists to arrive at new solutions or to design and propose new solutions. May be required to independently design and propose new solutions, as well as multiple alternatives. Independently acts to solve a full range of complex problems/issues that arise in areas of assigned responsibility. May establish processes/procedures to ensure the effective and efficient operation of complex functions.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth knowledge and experience with Windows Server architecture, clustered Windows servers, Active Directory and Domain Controllers in a distributed environment, DNS, DHCP, SCCM and system management platforms, issues concerning data replication using DFS and other technologies, auditing, backup and restore of Domain Controllers and Windows 2008/2012 server environments, and Powershell and VB script. Expert level knowledge of MS Exchange 20xx servers and SharePoint. Expert level knowledge of cloud platforms, and especially Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platforms.
Experience with Windows security and ability to investigate security events in complex environments, including but not limited to Windows AD. Hands-on experience with industry standard tools for network security and performance monitoring. Ability to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Ability to solve problems of substantial variety and complexity. Ability to undertake tasks broad in nature, requiring ingenuity, and originality and operate with appreciable latitude for independent judgment and action. Ability to work successfully in a team environment. Ability to develop relationships with co-workers and employees in other departments. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent knowledge.
Minimum Experience: Eight years of related professional experience. Experience of Windows architecture in a multi-site company and project management is preferred.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls: Reports to Manager, Network Systems and Engineering. General direction is provided.
