We are seeking someone who has knowledge of both video and archival systems to be a Digital Asset Manager for a large organization on a one year contract initially. The person will collaborate with video production and post-production teams to manage the intake of all new video footage, graphics, and audio files into the video asset management system.
Ensure all assets are searchable and easily accessible by applying established metadata labeling and categorization workflows.
Develop and manage comprehensive keyword tagging systems and detailed metadata templates for all media files.
Transfer media files (video, audio, images, etc.) from camera cards and other portable devices to centralized storage systems while verifying data integrity.
Prepare analog and digital video tape sources for digitization, transfer to file-based formats, and ingestion into the asset management system following established workflows.
Periodically verify metadata for accuracy, ensuring adherence to guidelines and making corrections as necessary.
Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including asset management activities and system updates.
Media Asset Linking and Ingestion
Retrieve media assets from archives, portable devices, and various storage platforms.
Link assets to projects within video creation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve) and ingest them into the asset management system.
Storage Systems Support
Develop an understanding of video storage technologies and assist with maintaining Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), and related networking equipment.
