Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Project Manager/Grassroots Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mobilizing community members, organizing events, and advocating for social and political causes. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of community engagement strategies.

Responsibilities:
· Build relationships within the community to increase awareness and mobilize support.
· Organize and coordinate events, campaigns, and initiatives.
· Recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
· Develop and implement outreach strategies.
· Collaborate with stakeholders, advocacy groups, and policymakers.
· Represent the organization at community events and public meetings.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns.
· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Sociology, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Proven experience in grassroots organizing, advocacy, or community engagement.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to motivate and manage volunteers.
· Knowledge of local and national mission driven issues.
· Proficiency in social media and digital outreach strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with diverse communities in NYC.
· Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages spoken in NYC).
· 5+ years experience

5 months and could be extended
