Test Engineer, Automation is responsible for coding and executing automation test scripts. The incumbent is responsible analyzing user stories and creating automated integration, system and acceptance test cases to ensure software quality and compliance with business intent.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Establish an automated testing framework, setup elaborate prod quality data, execute tests and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for multiple products
  • Code automated test scripts using the following technologies/libraries/programming languages:
    • Jest, Playwright, cucumber, javascript, node.js
    • Selenium, Cypress, and similar browser APIs (good to have)
    • Postman


About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or MIS.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in software systems, programming, testing and quality assurance.
  • Working experience with tools cited above.
  • Strong practical JavaScript and NodeJS scripting experience in a Cloud based environment
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies
  • Working experience with CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience testing code running in Amazon Web Services, especially AWS Lambda
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and analytical ability
  • Able to function independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Skilled in writing SQL queries for testing and validation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues across applications, automation frameworks and cloud environments
  • Familiarity with advanced testing strategies such as using test doubles (stubs, fakes, shims, mocks) and organizing test suites for scalability and maintainability
  • Proven ability to create clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Ability to work on multiple products by properly managing time
