Job Description:

Our client is searching for a Senior SharePoint Developer to join their program in Washington, DC. The NTSB is an independent Federal agency charged by Congress with investigating every civil aviation accident in the United States and significant accidents in other modes of transportation – railroad, highway, marine and pipeline. The NTSB determines the probable cause of the accidents and issues safety recommendations aimed at preventing future accidents. In addition, the NTSB carries out special studies concerning transportation safety and coordinates the resources of the Federal Government and other organizations to provide assistance to victims and their family members impacted by major transportation disasters.

 

Our client is in need of an experienced UI/UX developer with extensive experience in CSS, JavaScript and other client-side web technologies. This role will support the complete site re-design of the agency’s web site. The new site will have a more modern look and feel with a responsive design. Improved search and site navigation will be also be a point of emphasis.

 

Requirements:

5+ years of UX design experience

2+ years of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery programming

Review, investigate and analyze layout and usability issues

Provide leadership and guidance on UI development and best practices

Translate requirements into designs and layouts (This means code not just wireframes!)

Familiarity with front end technologies: JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS

Fluent in responsive design, mobile/tablet UI/UX

Understanding of web standards and accessible design (508 compliance).

Lead UI testing and UAT
