A large manufacturing company seeks a VP Finance to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-oriented Vice President of Finance to oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the organization. This role is essential to supporting the company’s ambitious growth targets and will be responsible for managing budgets, optimizing costs, improving reporting processes, and ensuring financial discipline at all levels of the company. The VP of Finance will report directly to the President and play a key role in enabling execution across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities:
· Manage Financial Operations: Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and manage operating budgets in coordination with department heads. Monitor performance against forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Cash Flow & Working Capital: Monitor daily cash position, working capital, and bank relationships. Ensure sufficient liquidity to support operational needs.
· Financial Controls & Compliance: Maintain strong internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage audits. Lead tax filings and regulatory reporting processes.
· Business Support: Provide financial support to manufacturing and sales teams by analyzing product costs, pricing models, and inventory controls.
· Systems & Reporting: Improve and maintain financial systems, dashboards, and reports to enhance decision-making and operational transparency.
· Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small but capable team of finance professionals with a focus on accountability, accuracy, and process improvement.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
· 10+ years of progressive financial experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer goods or multi-site operations.
· Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory controls, and operational finance.
· Proven experience managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
· ERP experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and strong Excel/analytical skills.
· Effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
