A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is currently seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our winning team.
The Billing Coordinator will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. Responsibilities:
As a Billing Coordinator at firm, you will contribute your expertise to the daily operations of the local Billing Department with regards to providing an accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses and ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm's set guidelines and policies. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities as a Billing Coordinator will include coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing complex billing duties while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
- Acting as a liaison between billing attorneys, billing secretaries, legal attorneys, and/or organization (customers), and the billing staff; responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
- Preparing and analyzing complex client billing
- Communicating with customers to ensure their request from the billing staff is being met
- Updating customers on status of tasks and/or projects
- Providing accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses; ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm's set guidelines and policies
- Generating and reviewing Proformas from Elite (pre-existing or generating new charges)
- Providing project analyses as directed; utilizing Elite system for various analytical reports
- Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process
- Assisting with year-end closing and reporting as required
- Assisting with special projects on various issues as needed
- Promoting effective work practices and working as a team member
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is desired, along with a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in legal billing.
- Prior experience with Elite 3E or other billing system is desired.
- The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of PC applications, specifically MS Excel.
