POSITION SUMMARY: The System Integration Team for Increment II of the US Army's Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A) is looking for an Senior Database Administrator (DBA). The Sr. DBA will support the program by assisting the IPPS-A team with Oracle database development and support activities including: database sizing, build-outs, cloning, testing, debugging, replication, backups, restores, disaster recovery, and ongoing support to include status checking and critical patch updates.

 

REQUIRED:

• BA/BS degree and 10-12 years of related experience
• 7+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
• Solid experience installing, configuring, upgrading and tuning Oracle 11g/12c on Solaris & Linux
• Active DOD SECRET clearance required; SSBI preferred;
• Must have a current DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level II - Security+ (minimum)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience implementing Oracle Database Vault
• Experience implementing Oracle Audit Vault
• 3+ years’ experience working as a DBA in support of PeopleSoft
• Good working knowledge of SAN technologies
• Experience with volatile storage and recovery techniques
• Experience with ZFS helpful
• Experience with Oracle Superclusters
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate
• Experience working in SIPRnet, DISA and working with the DISA DECC environment
• Direct hands-on experience with the DISA DECC SAN technologies and COOP process
• Experience with DOD and/or GSA database security requirements is a major plus
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience
• Minimum of 4 years of Oracle Database Administration experience in Solaris and LINUX environments
• Minimum of 2 years of Oracle SQL or PL/SQL development experience
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional helpful but not required

Must be a US Citizen and possess a Security Clearance due to Federal Contracting Requirements
