Sr. Subject Matter Expert - IPPS-A Data SME

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs application functional analysis of requirements and unit testing for the IPPS-A project. Provides Army subject matter expertise and works as a liaison between the functional community and the technical staff. Translates functional requirements into technical designs for technical staff. Participates in development, integration and deployment of solutions in an agile development environment. Provides input for systems development and data base administration from a data point of view. Performs business and technical designer functions, including making contributions to business and technical architecture components of the enterprise solution. Help plan and track work based on stated goals for a given agile sprint cycle.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Translates functional requirement into technical solutions to business challenges and works as a resource for development staff.

* Provides Army subject matter expertise to support the delivery of various PeopleSoft application development components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and implementation of custom solutions

* Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results

* Creates, updates, and edits functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy functional requirements

* Participates in design reviews and technical presentations to cross-functional staff

* Develops technological ideas and guides development into a final product

* Assists and works under minimal supervision in layouts, product support, devices, methods or procedures

* Works to develop and maintain client relationships within context of the individual role

* Meets deadlines and manages multiple, dynamic priorities

* Effectively communicates and has experience working in a team-oriented environment

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience with existing Army Human Resources data and systems

*6+ years of related Army HR experience in any of the Army Components (Guard, Reserve or Active)

* Working knowledge of Army Business process as it pertains to Human Resources and Pay functions

* Experience in Requirements Analysis and Development

* Bachelor’s degree in a technically relevant degree

* Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership

* Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem solving skills

* Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

* Secret clearance

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Technical experience with PeopleTools 8.49 or above desired

* Experience with supporting large scale organizations with successful ERP implementation(s)

* Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.1/9.2

* Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Advanced Tools such as Application Package, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Business Interlinks, Workflow, Object Oriented PeopleCode is desired

* Experience working between Functional and Technical staff and bridging the communications gap between the two groups

 

Must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Security Clearance due to Federal Contracting Requirements
