Business Development Rep - Recycling Plastics

The ideal candidate will be a killed sales professional with experience in the plastics sector with a focus on the purchase of raw materials and sale of the finished goods across various polymers.

The incumbent will be a strong negotiator, self-motivated, good commutator with contacts in the plastics sector and a team player.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed volume and price goals of the acquisition of a variety of polymers to be processed as well as the distributing of our repro and regrind products.
  • Continuously identifying and establishing new accounts through contacts, research, leads, telephone contact and networking.
  • The preparation of quotes and service solutions as well as effectively managing the process through a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Maintain and liaise with internal and external groups, such as suppliers, sales teams and manufacturers as well as internal operations and marketing the department
  • Participate in trade associations and community-related plastic recycling events


Required Experience

Must have a technical or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the plastics sector, preferably within the acquisition of materials.

Must possess a fundamental knowledge of the plastics recycling industry and be able to travel, at times up to 25 percent.

Must be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, internet search engines and CRM systems.
