Sales Marketing Specialist

Position Overview:

The Power Generation Sales Marketing- Telesales role is a customer-interacting job, responsible for implementing and improving TWE's sales and marketing strategies for Generac Power Generation and TWEgen products and services.

This role is primarily responsible for creation of qualified sales leads, new project sales opportunities as well as administration and coordination of TWE/HMC and Generac sponsored marketing events- tradeshows and other customer engagement activities in support of the Generator Sales teams. The Sales Marketing- Telesales position works closely with TWE/HMC sales teams to ensure leads are followed up on and brought through the entire sales cycle.

The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of concurrent tasks and information all while providing the necessary follow up and follow through to deliver an exceptional level of customer service to TWE's new and prospective, new customers.

Reporting Relationships: The Sales Marketing- Telesales role reports to the Director of Sales- AC Power at HM Cragg. This position receives day to day direction from the Senior Sales Administrator-Power Generation.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Marketing Campaigns

  • Schedule and commit to sales prospecting.
  • Identifies state, local/municipal and federal agencies to prospect within including but not limited to Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Emergency Management Services (EMS) for MT, WY, ID, WA, SD, ND
  • Create complete profiles by obtaining new and prospective customer information such as name, phone, email, address, job title for prospective customers
  • Initiates outbound phone calls to determine if prospective customer's agency received grant or is budgeting to complete construction project which includes power generation and/or UPS
  • Keeps track of customers that have been contacted and those who do not want to be contacted in the future- following up on previous customers for potential sales
  • Maintains records of customer contacts- CRM- using Tiger Paw
  • Completes customer surveys to obtain information about potential customers- request referrals when they indicate they are not appropriate POC.
  • Continues and improves processes around recurring marketing campaigns for TWEgen and Generac products
  • Enters new leads requiring sales follow up- communicates with TWE sales staff regarding on-going marketing campaign
  • Creates and delivers relevant mailers- email, hardcopy as appropriate
  • Defines customer call to action to initiate interest for follow up

Marketing Materials and Collateral

  • Works with HM Cragg Marketing, TWE sales team and Director of Sales to create content, call-to-action, layout and branding for all sales collateral, website development
  • Develops new and rework existing electronic and printed TWE brochures
  • Updates and improves web-presence- content creation, layout
  • Creates digital marketing content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and other social media

Tiger Paw

  • Rigorously maintains TWE CRM- Tiger Paw with all relevant customer information.
  • Creates new, unique customer and account detailed entries and opportunities flagged for sales follow up.
  • Creates and revises procedures by analyzing operating practices, implementing changes.
  • Builds and understands TP matrix capabilities.
  • Continues to learn about the complete sales-cycle from prospecting- contact identification-opportunity detection- lead creation- sales follow up.

General Office

  • Copier - order supplies, maintain with service calls, clean, and adjust when needed, assist others with copier functions.
  • Printers - order back up cartridges.

Trade Shows - Generac Coop

  • Researches, registers, and schedules trade show opportunities.
  • Manages sales outbound engagements, flights, and hotels.
  • Files Coop with Generac.
  • Maintains and prints sales brochures.
  • Orders promotional merchandise.
  • Organizes Generac Fly In and Symposium. Books hotel, flight and ground transportation. Communicates itineraries to participants.

Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge

  • Proven experience successfully managing projects on time and on budget
  • Proficient or can become proficient in the use vendor supplied portals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of generator equipment and installation practices

  • Persistence- the Sales Marketing-Telemarketer must not give in on the first negative answer from the potential customer but persist in informing the customer about their product or services.
  • Focus and determination- the Sales Marketing- Telemarketer must focus on sales results during a set scheduled earnings period for the company or organization.
  • Customer service- the Sales Marketing- Telemarketer should have good customer service skills and experience in how to identify and develop potential customers. Customer service skills mean understanding customer needs and behaviors as well as responding appropriately to a customer's questions or concerns.

Posting Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous customer experience in telephone sales or other customer service and persuasive jobs.
  • Retail sales, community outreach experience and other customer service experience
  • Strong Knowledge of modern business tools and electronic resources incl. computer, internet, email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
