Bookkeeper/Office Assistant

Job Overview

Manage company billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and collection functions. Reconciles accounts and processes weekly reports and financial metrics. Works closely with a third-party accounting firm. Must have QuickBooks experience.

 

Available onsite at least part time to receive and send mail/packages. Oversees the ordering of company supplies and manages stock of inventory.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to the following)

  • Bank transaction entry and reconciliation
  • Credit card/loan transaction entry and reconciliation
  • Customer invoicing/receive payments
  • Monthly/quarterly reporting for sales/accounts receivable/financial statements
  • Keeping accurate records and organized paper and electronic files
  • Various administrative functions and projects using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Supports purchasing function of inventory and supplies
  • Assistance with additional administrative projects as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
