Responsibilities:

  • Structure energy procurement strategies to match customer needs and environmental goals
  • Collaborate with power providers and system operators to establish new Demand Response programs
  • Forecast monthly power costs of each facility, support financial modeling of facility costs
  • Analyze power markets and demand response opportunities to establish targeted markets
  • Management and accountability for monthly power costs of facilities and utility bill reviews
  • Support development and lead implementation of overarching energy strategy
  • Originate and negotiate energy supply agreements (PPA’s, asset purchase agreements, etc.)
  • Support creation and achievement of clean energy goals
  • Compare forecasted costs to actual and manage power producer relationships to:
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and expectations
  • Identify savings and optimization opportunities
  • Expand and maintain network of energy partners to source lowest cost and cleanest sources of energy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar (preferred)
  • 5+ years of leading power marketing transactions
  • Experience with demand response, load management, and/or ancillary services
  • Knowledge of power market mechanisms and regulations across North America
  • Power pricing analysis and forecasting experience
  • Passion for ESG and clean energy
