Position Overview

Oversees company overall Operational and Production structure while looking to create opportunities to refine process, personnel, and infrastructure to meet current and future demand while driving efficiencies/cost savings.

 

Job Duties

 

  • Overall responsibility for all Production, Assembly, Inventory and Purchasing activities across all business lines
  • Coordinate the daily activities of Production (assembly and growing) and Operational teams
  • Design process and structural improvements to optimize assembly and growing operations resulting reduced costs and increased output
  • Focus on continuous improvement and process improvements to help drive efficiencies and cost savings initiatives
  • Facilitate change and supports the deployment, adoption and sustainment of Lean thinking and the use of Lean tools
  • Direct and optimize current and future labor needs
  • Work with the Production, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to translate strategy into departmental goals and KPIs and to track success and address areas which need improvement
  • Ensure all items and products meet quality standards
  • Oversees the overall Supply Chain, including Demand planning, Buying/Purchasing Team, and Inventory Team
  • Design and implementation of ERP functions supported by documented processes
  • Plan, design and align capabilities for new future company initiatives and projects
  • Work closely with sales to understand demand trends and align our capabilities to meet any changes in demand
  • Work closely with Design and NPD teams to implement new products, improvements, and innovative processes
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
  • Review and monitor COGs and G&A to meet company P&L goals
  • Overall facilities and office building maintenance
  • Create an effective and simple communication channel between Operations/Production departments and other departments within the organization

 

Position Requirements

  • Experience building high performing teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent
  • Strong background in lean operations within a production environment
  • Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level vision to day-to-day tactical operations
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems within a production environment
  • Experience utilizing Lean tools and methodologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
