CorTalent has been retained to find an exceptional Account Executive located in the Minneapolis area to expand our client's business in Wholesale Distribution, MRO, Manufacturing and other industries. If you are a strategic and passionate sales professional with experience managing the full sales cycle and a background in ERP or related systems then this role may be for you!

Responsibilities

  • Generating new business in existing accounts and in new markets, as well as playing a key role in driving strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives for large, industry-leading companies
  • Lead qualification for all leads and sales opportunities
  • Up-selling and leveraging business from new and established customer relationships
  • To refine sales messaging, prospecting, qualifying, and closing techniques
  • Develop and execute successful sales and marketing campaigns
  • Identify key benefits to the customer/prospect in the sales cycle and focus sales activities, including demos, to prove business value
  • Ability to articulate customer/prospect deliverables in a Statement of Work
  • Proven networking skills and vendor relationships
  • Ability to sell the value of the team/differentiate from the competition
  • Ability to learn key product functionality to enable in depth conversations with the prospects on how functionality can meet business requirements and goals
  • To become an expert at pricing of product and be up to date on promotions and communicate with affected prospects and customers
  • To research and identify information that would be beneficial to prospects and customers
  • Ability to work effectively with the team including administrative personnel and consultants
  • To personally create new leads from prospecting efforts and assist others
  • To thoroughly qualify leads & sales opportunities
  • To leverage business from new & established relationships
  • To strategize, negotiate & close business
  • To grow and nurture the sales pipeline
  • To exceed an annual sales quota

Desired Skills

  • Selling into small to large, enterprise accounts ($10m+ annual revenues)
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience selling enterprise software solutions
  • A proven track record of driving and closing up to multi-million dollar enterprise deals
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong technical, financial and business acumen
  • Commitment to long-term customer success
  • Must have a solid reputation and references with previous clients, contacts and vendors
  • Must be able to manage time, prioritize and communicate commitments
  • Strong client and internal communication skills with experience working in highly collaborative teams
  • Flexibility to travel to meet customers and prospects
  • A self-starter that can work independently as well as with a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong operational rigor and time management skills
  • Professional network within territory
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain high productivity levels while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Consultative sales skills and ability to construct and articulate a strong business case and ROI
