Associate Accountant

Position Overview:
Our client, is a 100% employee-owned company with an extremely impressive growth history with a stock price increase of over 100% in the past 10 years! The Associate Accountant will be a crucial part of our financial and administrative team.

Reporting Relationship: The Associate Accountant will directly report to the Controller

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Conducting daily banking activities
  • Manage and maintain accounts receivable and cash receipt applications
  • Perform accounts receivable invoice data entry
  • Perform accounts payable invoice data entry
  • Produce various financial reports
  • Provide collections support by contacting customers regarding past due balances
  • Scan documents (invoices, checks, etc.) into the information management system
  • Support the weekly AP check run function by printing, routing the checks as appropriate after signature (US mail, courier, hand-deliver) and moving the electronic invoice copy to appropriate folder
  • Maintain front desk area to collect mail and let guests and customers in
  • Full receptionist duties: answer phones in a timely manner; efficiently and courteously greet customers, employees, vendors, and company visitors
  • Proactively handle customer inquiries by listening and summarizing customer requests then directing them to the appropriate person
  • Perform other bookkeeper, financial, or administrative tasks as required from time-to-time

Posting Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with an Accounting focus preferred
  • 2+ years prior experience with bookkeeping and/or accounting
  • Efficient in using Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
