Paid Media Director

Position Information:
Our client is a $450MM ecommerce global organization. They are experiencing significant growth, creating a new role for a full-time Paid Media Director to join their eCommerce team.

What Will You Do:

You will own the paid media strategy for several leading brands and be responsible for planning, execution, optimization and analysis of paid advertising. You will be responsible for directing resources, hiring resources and putting increased structure in place.  Your team will drive paid search sales, leads, online and offline revenue, and ROI growth.

You will be an important member of the eCommerce team who delivers best-in-class execution of paid placement advertising and will work on implementing, reporting on, and analyzing digital paid media campaigns and overall website performance across multiple websites. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across marketing, sales, and finance departments to drive a cohesive strategy, identify growth opportunities, and build out a growth roadmap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain multi-site paid search strategy including - but not limited to - keyword expansion and optimization strategies, budget management and bidding optimization strategy
  • Develop and execute product listing ad strategy for thousands of SKUs with cohesive and coordinated approach for multiple web properties within same industry
  • Manage high volume paid search and shopping campaigns within budget to meet business goals and KPIs
  • Translate online and offline marketing strategies into successful PPC campaigns
  • Provide recommendations on landing pages, websites and overall user experience to optimize paid conversion
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to advance performance measurement and understanding of ROI
  • Manage internal team and external agency relationships
  • Analyze PPC performance to gain insights, develop and enhance strategic plans and lead channel growth initiatives that align with overall business strategies
  • Provide day-to-day support, execution and optimization of paid search and shopping campaigns across multiple platforms including but not limited to Google Adwords and Bing/Yahoo Ads
  • Identify and develop opportunities in adjacent channels (i.e. YouTube, Gmail, etc)


  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree a plus
  • Proven experience actively managing high volume paid search, shopping & paid media campaigns across multiple eCommerce websites; remarketing and display advertising experience preferred
  • Proven experience driving eCommerce revenue growth and online lead generation with paid media; B2B and offline lead generation experience preferred
  • Team leadership and management experience, with direct report experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in strategy development and digital marketing campaign optimization across multiple marketing and paid media channels to create a cohesive, personalized marketing program for the customer

Knowledge and Skills: Technical Skills

  • Exceptional working knowledge of Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, MS Excel and Powerpoint; as well as additional experience with CRM, eCommerce and ERP systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Google Shopping Campaigns
  • Mastery of AdWords and Bing Ads editor tools
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of 3rd party platform management softwares (e.g. Kenshoo, DoubleClick DFA/DCM, Marin, AdLens, AdRoll, Bizible, etc.)
  • Social advertising and ecommerce marketplaces experience a plus
