The Copywriter provide creative solutions to complex challenges through the written word. They will craft key messages for various marketing channels consistent with project objectives and in line with client brand standards on the in-house creative team. This position requires excellent written and oral communication, organization, documentation and research skills.



  • Work independently to research, interview, write, edit, and proof marketing elements while ensuring all messaging effectively supports business objectives
  • Apply research, problem-solving and creative thinking to translate creative briefs into engaging ideas and creative content solutions
  • Collaborate with creative team members (art directors, writers, designers) to produce concepts and programs for print, web, video and multi-media, advertising, direct mail and other formats as needed
  • Present creative concepts, with rationale, to multiple stakeholders
  • Understand how to craft messages across multiple channels such as websites (using SEO best practices), social media, display advertising and direct marketing
  • Establish tone and voice for marketing efforts, maintain editorial quality and communicate brand messaging standards to fellow writers to ensure consistency in marketing materials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of how business strategies and education regulations impact written communications
  • Ensure all content is delivered on time, working closely with project management to estimate project timelines
  • Adhere to the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of company data and report any security related issues



  • 2-4 years of relevant writing experience, professional agency experience preferred
  • Excellent writing skills; with the ability to write in a wide variety of formats, different mediums, tones and styles
  • Ability to synthesize extensive data and content into concise, eloquent and compelling messaging that meets objectives
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects at one time and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing with experience presenting ideas and rationale for concepts
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices while keeping up with industry trends in communication, SEO and lead generation



Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communication or a concentration in writing is preferred
