HM Cragg is looking to work with and help develop recent graduates in the electrical service/maintenance industry. The Entry Level Installation & Service Technician will learn the basics of installs, repair, as well as routine and preventative maintenance on high-voltage battery and backup power systems.
Reporting Relationship: The Entry Level Installation & Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
Continual growth in learning installation/removal/repair and maintenance/testing of large stationary battery systems, rectifiers/chargers and dc power systems.
Continues to grow knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment.
Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites.
Evaluates and recommends any required repairs.
Excellent customer skills.
Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements.
Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Installation & Service Technician.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Ability to take direction, communication, and supervision from upper level technicians, service managers, and project managers.
Possess a working knowledge of the Installation & Service Technician position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives.
Must conform to company policies and procedures and meet company goals and objectives as well as protect the company assets and interests.
Must have and be able to maintain a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per HM Cragg insurance carrier standard.
Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements. Must be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)
Must be dependable.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to bend and twist several times a day.
Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and travel.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance, promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic shop equipment.

Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience working with engines/motors
Battery industry knowledge is a plus
Efficient in Microsoft Suite products including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
Must pass a physical exam, background check and drug test within 90 days of hire
