IT Manager

Due to extensive growth, we have a client seeking an IT Manager to work directly with our employees and coordinate efforts with our outsourced IT providers to ultimately increase efficiencies and to help better manage technology costs.

Overview of main responsibilities:

  • Manages the outsourced IT providers and all IT business partners to assist in the design, implementation, and support of the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, telephony, ERP systems, intranet portals, building security systems, building camera systems, routing and switching devices
  • Owns and supports the break/fix Help Desk functionality of the organization including coordination of efforts with the outsourced IT provider and other IT business partners
  • Facilitates the design and execution of a long-range Technology Strategic Plan
  • Installs, supports, and maintains Windows servers, workstations, and laptops
  • Maintains records, inventory, log management and performs major upgrades, as necessary
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs purchased or leased computer hardware and software
  • Administers the messaging and communication systems (phone system and cellular)
  • Administers the print solutions
  • Supports end users daily via telephone or direct contact
  • Coordinates security measures for the domain, network, and end users
  • Supports applications as they relate to data transfers, security, integration and APIs, etc. as needed
  • Supports all IT needs for remote offices. Limited travel is required.
  • Leads new employee owner IT onboarding activities
  • Performs basic programming needs (i.e. – HTML, Java script, report writing, etc.)

Ideal qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted
  • 5+ years’ experience in designing and troubleshooting operating systems and software, installing, and maintaining software, common PC hardware systems, and network administration
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with networking infrastructures including routers and switches is a plus
  • Programming and report writing experience is a plus
