Key Account Manager

Are you a high-energy, self-motivated sales professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships, digging into data, and driving results? We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to take ownership of key grocery retail accounts and play a hands-on role in expanding our retail presence. You’ll lead all aspects of account management—from strategic planning and sales execution to category leadership and promotional strategy. If you bring experience in the food or CPG industry, an analytical mindset, and a drive to make an impact, this role could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and grow key accounts: Develop and strengthen relationships with retail grocery partners and brokers. Understand each customer’s business to identify new opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Drive results: Lead sales planning and execution to meet and exceed goals in distribution, velocity, and market share.
  • Secure new business: Present compelling new item and promotional pitches that align with both customer and brand strategies.
  • Use data to drive decisions: Analyze syndicated and POS data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to uncover trends, evaluate performance, and inform your sales and category approach.
  • Act as a category expert: Apply category management principles to highlight assortment gaps and growth opportunities—positioning both our brand and the category for success.
  • Handle executional details: Maintain accurate item setup and pricing, prepare customer-facing materials, manage reporting, and ensure alignment across internal systems.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with marketing, supply chain, and finance to align on forecasts, inventory, and brand priorities. Your voice and insights will help shape strategic decisions.
  • Represent the brand externally: Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to deepen partnerships and expand visibility.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5+ years of experience managing retail grocery accounts in the food or CPG industry
  • Demonstrated success in account management, category management, and sales execution
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into action
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales tools
  • A self-starter mentality - you take initiative, solve problems quickly, and don’t wait to be asked
  • A team-first mindset and a desire to grow within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Willingness to travel ~30% for customer meetings, events, and trade shows
