Plant Engineer for a leading North American brand of exterior and interior building products, including roofing, siding, fence, decking, railing, trim, insulation, drywall and ceilings with 60 industrial manufacturing plants in North America.

• You will do 50% project work and 50% plant support and will be on the plant floor
• Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 + 12/24% bonus
  

Plant Engineer provides the leadership to effectively manage all engineering activities concerned with the design, cost estimation, selection/construction, compliance with state and Federal environmental standards, installation and maintenance of activities at the Little Rock facility. Assist in identification, analysis and control of occupational risks and hazards requiring the application of professional engineering knowledge, skill and abilities. The Plant Engineer is the first point of contact for all telephone, network and other system related issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide technical support to maintain facility and help optimize production process equipment in support of safety, quality, service and profit impact activities
• Provide preliminary engineering and cost estimates for projects as well as detailed scopes of work to support capital projects
• Provide technical support to maintain and direct plant energy related activities
• Provide day to day technical support to plant personnel and maintain engineering documentation, CAD, and other drawing files which support project work and engineering
• Maintain awareness and accountability for all state and federal safety requirements that would impact engineering projects.
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a preference in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 4 – 5 years of experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of computer systems and software applications
• Must be capable of analyzing complex operational issues using six sigma tools and determining solutions
• Good interpersonal skills, planning, organization and prioritizing are essential
• Communication skills, both written and oral are critical as The Plant Engineer must be able to interact with all levels of the organization
• Requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions within the area of expertise
