Plant leadership team looking for a Production Supervisor with the drive to grow his/her career.  This position is a succession position for a future opening in Operations Management.  This is a global industrial manufacturing company with 60 plants in North America offering relocation package, competitive base salary, OT, Bonus, Excellent Benefits, 401K & PENSION!

  • Need at least an Associates Degree on a plan to complete a 4 year degree, BA highly preferable

  • Manager is looking for someone who has the drive and wants to grow. They are looking for the individual to be promoted to Operations manager in the future.
  • Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 +7/21% bonus and OT

POSITION SUMMARY:

To assure that we are safely making quality Commercial Building Material products at all times. To direct and assist as needed from an operational, safety and housekeeping aspect.  Directly supervise 5 – 8 hourly production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities planning, assigning and directing work: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Daily responsibility in making decisions regarding employees, quality, safety and adherence to production schedules to assure the production of quality Commercial Roofing products.
  • Insure that all manufacturing standards and goals are met in order to operate a successful operation.
  • Actively promote a safe working environment focused on full compliance of all safety, health and environmental policies and regulations.They are responsible for ensuring that Product Quality and Manufacturing Productivity are sustained at the highest possible level through the effective application of World Class Manufacturing methodologies.
  • The incumbent is responsible for maintaining excellent communication with support functions, such as engineering, maintenance, purchasing and outside vendors, ensuring materials, supplies, tools and equipment are available and in good working condition.
  • Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control are the major criteria of job performance
  • Measure and monitor shift performance, identifying areas for improving efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel.
  • Development of cost improvement projects through loss intelligence and OEE analysis
  • Development of safety projects to improve the safety of all employees
  • Protect employees by ensuring compliance to and consistent application of local and SGC policies and procedures, i.e.; Employee Handbook, ISO, OHSAS, ICRF and World Class Systems to name a few.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position requires the minimum of an Associate’s degree in a technical field, and/or supervisory experience that lends itself to a working knowledge of practices, procedures and operations of a manufacturing facility.
  • Must demonstrate core competencies of effective communications, listening and organizational skills.
  • Must understand machine operations and be fully engaged in accomplishing tasks in a safe manner.
  • This position also requires an intermediate to advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Must be willing to work rotating work schedules.
