Job Summary: Front Desk/Customer Services Representatives ensure the smooth operation of daily activities by upholding policies, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining facility safety. This essential role involves documentation, reporting, and responsiveness in various situations, including emergencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enforce uniform compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, prioritizing client privacy and well-being.
  • Address client complaints, making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Professionally greet and assist guests, staff, and clients.
  • Support volunteer and donor events.
  • Assist in emergencies, such as medical, fire, or police incidents.
  • Implement safety regulations and promptly address hazards.
  • Document incidents, and provide mediation/de-escalation as needed.
  • Conduct building patrols and perimeter tours.
  • Assume on-site supervisor duties when senior staff is absent.
  • Staff access points, control access, and verify ID badges.
  • Report safety or security issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Contribute to the training of new staff.
  • Maintain confidential administrative records.

Job Duties may include:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facility functions.
  • Drive company vehicles for employee and client transportation when necessary.
  • Assist in all emergency situations.
  • Use tools and equipment as needed.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks and other duties as required.

Education/Preferred Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • A valid Massachusetts Driver’s License is strongly preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Commitment to a strong customer service philosophy.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Navigate 9 flights of stairs.
  • Other skills/experience necessary:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a complex environment.
  • Multitasking capability with strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic computer skills for database management, record keeping, email, and word processing.
