Senior Pega Engineer / Developer – Banking

A well-established banking organization is seeking a Senior Pega Engineer/Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise Pega applications that power core banking operations, customer servicing, and regulatory-driven workflows. This role focuses on delivering secure, compliant, and highly available solutions within a modern Agile and DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test Pega-based applications supporting banking operations and customer-facing workflows
- Build and configure Pega business processes aligned with regulatory, risk, and audit requirements
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and compliance stakeholders to translate banking requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable deployments and operational readiness
- Apply Pega best practices for performance, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance
- Perform unit, integration, and automated testing to ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and compliance standards
- Participate in production deployments and provide post-production support for mission-critical banking systems
- Maintain detailed technical documentation to support internal audits, regulatory exams, and change management
- Implement and maintain Pega security controls, role-based access, and data protection standards
- Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation
- Serve as a Pega subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to continuous improvement across SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise Pega solutions
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and DevOps environments
- Experience with deployment automation, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to translate complex banking and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within banking, credit unions, or financial institutions
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, FFIEC, data privacy)
- Prior or current .NET development experience
