The Director of Technology & Banking Operations will Report to the EVP/Chief Strategy Officer, the person will be responsible for leading the overall strategic development and execution of Technology and Banking Operations of a southern New Hampshire based credit union.
**NOTE** This role has dual responsibilities for both Technology and Banking Operations. Qualified candidates MUST have experience in both of these areas, or they cannot be considered.
Responsibilities include: Formulating strategy and action plans to meet corporate strategies and business objectives as outlined in the annual business plan.
Additionally, this person will:
- Oversee all IT functions to provide a stable, operational, and available technology infrastructure with adequate redundancies and a disaster recovery protocol
- Oversee business application support functions, effective system administration, maintenance, and vendor management.
- Implement an effective technology management function in a highly regulated environment.
- Lead the IT Steering Committee, ensuring timely and thorough reporting of technology operations, compliance with the regulatory environment and continual improvement of availability, security, confidentiality, service levels for Technology Support, Infrastructure Management and Business Application support.
- Oversee electronic operations to ensure all activities of electronic delivery channels (online banking, eStatements, bill pay, business online services, remote deposit capture and mobile banking), deposit products (CD, IRA, deposit checking and saving accounts, ACH, ATM/Debit card processing) are conducted in an efficient manner.
- Implement strategic direction for the day-to-day operations and technology support functions
- Conduct Board and Executive level presentations and participate on the Strategic Planning team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or equivalent required, master's degree highly desirable with a minimum of 10 years of strong experience in an operations management, information technology and/or advanced knowledge of financial/banking environment.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of state and federal banking laws, rules, and regulations as it relates to deposit and electronic operations and loan servicing.
- Excellent leadership and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior executive leaders to set corporate priorities, develop strategic plans and set operating budgets.
- Must be able to deal effectively with compliance issues and regulatory enforcement while maintaining appropriate balance between member service, operational efficiency, and risk.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams and communicate at the highest levels, both written and verbally.
- Must present a positive, professional image to the Board of Directors, Senior Management, and all levels of the organization.
Reporting to the EVP/Chief Strategy Officer, the person will be responsible for leading the overall strategic development and execution of Technology and Banking Operations of a $2B credit union.
