A century old financial services organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support modern on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on automation, high availability, disaster recovery, and secure hybrid environments, while partnering with IT and business teams to support ongoing modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support scalable on-prem and cloud systems (Azure/AWS)
• Lead disaster recovery, redundancy, and high-availability strategies
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive proactive improvements
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and documentation
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams

Requirements

• 7+ years in systems engineering; 5+ years in senior technical roles
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and Azure experience
• Hands-on disaster recovery and high-availability design
• Automation/scripting skills (PowerShell, Python preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
