This Aerospace Engineer position will conduct work to support research activities under the Advanced Air Transport Technology (AATT) project.The desired candidate will possess a multi-disciplinary aerospace background in structural dynamics, aerodynamics, flight dynamics and aeroelasticity.
Minimum Master of Science in Aerospace/Engineering
Background or previous related work experience should include work in Aerodynamics, Structures, Aeroelasticity and Flight Dynamics.
Experience using finite element codes (NASTRAN) or equivalent
Experience in aerodynamic tools such as vortex-lattice code (VSPAERO) and aircraft design tool OpenVSP
High Proficiency in MATLAB
Experience or demonstrated coursework in Aerodynamis/Aeroelasticity, Flutter Analysis
Able to work independently or with a team
Must be able to adapt to different or new aircraft modeling needs
