Key Job Function:
Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; Clarify and make recommendations
Verify stock and schedule delivery.
Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; making recommendations on substitute items
Minimize raw material inventories while reducing purchasing costs and maximizing customer service.
Forward orders to suppliers and monitor by expediting orders when necessary
Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
Authorize payment for purchases
Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, objectives, and plans; communicate to users/customers accordingly
Sort and file documents for easy accessibility
Provide purchasing planning and control information using the data collection and analysis of trends
Proficient using Oracle and strong knowledge of ERP systems
