We are seeking a results-oriented HR Manager with a positive attitude and a go-getter mentality to join the dynamic leadership team at a Blacksburg SC manufacturer.  

The HR Manager will maintain responsibility for planning and executing all aspects of the Human Resources function for this manufacturing company, with two plants and 150 – 200 employees. This position will be based on-site at the Blacksburg SC location with occasional travel, as needed, to provide HR support to a small plant in the Gaffney, SC area.

  • Direct all strategic planning and maintain oversight for Human Resources activities:
  • Employee Relations
  • Employee Development & Engagement
  • Employee Training & Retention
  • Recruitment & Onboarding New Hires



  • Execute all Human Resources functions for 150 – 200 employees in two manufacturing plants
  • Provide functional support in employee relations, payroll, and recruiting
  • Engage in daily Employee Relations, maintaining availability and active communication with employees
  • Policies/Procedures: develop, maintain and communicate all HR policies/procedures
  • Execute company benefits administration for up to 200 employees; address and resolve any issues and support the resolution of employment-related disputes
  • Payroll: process payroll hours and adjustments including manual adjustments for salaried employees
  • Recruiting and Interviewing: assist in developing job descriptions, review applications, screening, interviewing, and pushing new hires through a successful orientation and onboarding process
  • Maintain all FMLA, Cobra, ACA, WC and disability reporting and help process unemployment claims
  • Ensure proper maintenance of personnel records and corporate documentation, performing data / information analysis and compliance reporting as required by law



  • Must be able to prioritize competing tasks and manage on-time completion of all
  • Able to research, analyze and implement successful solutions
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites and ADP software



  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business or related field –preferred
  • 5+ years in Human Resources, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution setting
  • 2+ years of benefits administration and payroll processing
  • Specific knowledge of employment laws/regulations with experience recruiting and processing new hire onboarding
